On November 29, 2023, 3rd year students of the Department of Linguistics of AIU took part in a seminar on the topic “Make writing a part of your life” from Sam Kahn, a journalist for the famous American publication “The New York Times” and a producer of documentary series for Netflix, Showtime and A&E. The workshop was a valuable exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of communication and writing. 

The speaker emphasized the importance of keeping daily notes, reading to improve writing skills, stimulating the creative process through experimenting with different forms of writing, and managing time effectively. The examples and quotes he gave from famous American writers inspired the audience to new creative achievements. Sam Kahn is a lecturer on the BA Journalism and MA Media, Artificial Intelligence and Visual Arts program at AIU.
