SI STUDENT CONFERENCE

SI Department by the help of six teachers has performed a student conference on October 28, 2016. The

theme of the conference was,

a) Source and Target Text Analysis

b) Translation Quality Assessment

c) Genre Translation and Analysis

About forty students have prepared papers and presentations. It was selected among more than one

hundred applications.

The aim of the conference was:

1. To be able to synthesize what they learn in the class in an actual atmosphere

2. To encourage the students to do research

3. To give students a chance to present their works in front of a distinguished audience
